1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using MyStdy ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 16 years old to use MyStdy. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. Description of Service
MyStdy is a lifelong learning platform that enables you to study, track progress, collaborate with peers, share knowledge, and develop skills over time. Features include study timers, learning feeds, AI-assisted tutoring, goal tracking, and social features for connecting with other learners.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date.
- You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create on MyStdy, including notes, posts, reflections, and study materials.
By posting content publicly, you grant MyStdy a limited licence to display, distribute, and make that content available to other users within the Platform, consistent with your privacy and visibility settings.
You may delete your content at any time. Deleted content is removed from the Platform in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Use the Platform for spam, phishing, or automated data collection (scraping)
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or Platform systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
- Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. AI Features
MyStdy offers AI-assisted learning features. These features are advisory and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for academic, legal, or life decisions.
AI features that use your learning history require explicit opt-in consent. You can control and disable AI personalisation at any time from Settings.
7. Privacy
Your privacy matters. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using MyStdy, you acknowledge our data practices as described therein.
8. Intellectual Property
MyStdy's name, logo, design, and software are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform without our written permission.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep MyStdy available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyStdy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Data & Export. Upon deletion, your data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with notice where practical.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the applicable national law of our place of establishment. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your country of residence.
